Ho Chi Minh city Police carry out general inspection for security during Election

The Ho Chi Minh city Police is carrying out a general inspection across the city to strengthen security as the election day for deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Council term 2016-2021 approaches (May 22nd).

Lieutenant-general Le Dong Phong, Director of the city Police, said that the inspection aimed to repress crime, check on sensitive services, and encourage people to hand over weapons.
The inspection is conducted in connection with strengthening political security and social order, ensuring the best conditions on the election day.
The city Police have worked with 322 communal police to maintain a regular force to effectively realise the assigned tasks.
According to Lieutenant-general Le Dong Phong, the city Police are re-checking the organization of all forces and establishing inspection teams to keep peace and security for the city./.
