So said, Mr Nguyen Van Toan, a member of the Hoa Binh Party Committee Standing Board, Head of the Hoa Binh Party Committee Commission for Popularization and Education, Head of the provincial electoral information and popularization sub-committee during a press briefing on May 17th.
With 1,683 polling stations, the Northern Hoa Binh province has 11 administrative level units (10 districts and a city), 210 communal level units, with 827,843 populations, in which 624,564 are voters.
According to allocating plan, local voters should cast for six NA deputies, including two introduced by the Central level.
For the provincial People’s Council election (2016-2021 term), 61 deputies should be voted in 14 polling units; for the district/city level, 384 deputies should be voted in 94 polling units, while for commune/ward/town level, local voters from 1,450 polling units should elect 5,302 deputies.
Mr Nguyen Van Toan highly valued the participation of press agencies in popularizing campaign, hoping that they should be more active in struggling against hostile forces’ insidious schemes, including "peaceful evolution", promptly come up with stronger communication campaigns to counter untrue and slanderous information spread by hostile forces on such issues as national sovereignty, religion, democracy and human rights.
Besides, representatives from Hoa Binh Departments of Information and Communications, and Home Affairs, also provided detailed plans and preparations for the forthcoming festive day of the nation, saying that the third period of popularizing campaign (after the Election Day) should end on June 10th./.
