On July 13th, in Hanoi, the Central Vietnam Youth Federation, the Ministry of Education and Training, and Thien Long Group held a press briefing on a program on sharing with teachers in 2016.

This year’s program will select and honour 42 teachers who are working at schools in island districts and island communes.

Honoured teachers must work in islands for more than three years.

Each teacher will receive a certificate of merit, an insignia from the program and a savings book worth VND10 million. Schools and students from sea and island regions will present study tools from Thien Long Group.

The program is being carried out in the 2015-2019 period. In 2015, it honoured 64 teachers from 64 poor districts, according to Resolution 30a of the Government. Stories of teachers who overcome difficulties to teach pupils in disadvantaged areas have been shared by the community.

The honouring ceremony will take place on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20th) in Hanoi. Diverse activities such as paying homage to President Ho Chi Minh, meeting with leaders of the Party, the State and the Ministry of Education and Training, and exchanges with teachers who are working in Hanoi will be held.

Details about the program are updated on www.chiasecungthayco.com./.
