The aquaculture area on Hau river in Chau Doc city of the southern province of An Giang is reported to be the largest fish farm in the Mekong River Delta.

Apart from developing traditional aquaculture, the aquaculture village has become known as an attractive destination for tourists.

Each fish cage, which is 4 metres wide, 7-8 metres long and some 10 metres deep, is wrapped by zinc netting. On the top of the cage, fish breeders make housing for accommodation.

At present, An Giang province has over 2,000 cages raising fish of different varieties.
