Over VND3.4 billion in support of fishermen suffering accidents at sea

Accordingly, over VND3.4 billion was allocated to five fishermen’s families whose members died at sea, with VND5 million each; and to 17 fishermen whose property, equipment, devices and fishing equipment were damaged at sea, with a capital of VND4 million.

In addition, the fund gave loans to fishermen whose fishing vessels had been damaged by natural disasters, at VND700 million to each of three fishing vessel owners in Binh Son district and VND500 million to a vessel owner in Ly Son island district.

Over the past years, the provincial fund for fishermen has promptly provided assistance to fishermen having accidents at sea, helping share their difficulties and support them to buy new equipment for fishing./.
