Over the past years, thanks to loans from the Bank for Social Policies, thousands of families in the highland Da Bac district in the northern province of Hoa Binh have expanded their production, thus gradually escaping poverty.

Accordingly, the district Bank for Social Policies has carried out 13 preferential credit programs and expanded lending groups, especially poor families and those who live near the poverty line.

As a result, over 9,500 families in the district have been lent over VND240 billion for developing production, building houses and safe water supply constructions, contributing to reducing the poverty rate by 3-5% per year.
