Over the past years, the northern province of Thai Binh has expanded its oyster production in Tien Hai and Thai Thuy districts, taking advantage of coastal areas.

So far nearly 3,000 hectares of oyster production produce an average of 70,000-100,000 tons per year.

“Thai Binh oyster” has become a trademark which is exported to the Chinese and European markets, helping breeders earn trillions of VND each year and creating jobs for thousands of local labourers.
