Pham Van Cong, Deputy Head of the provincial Department of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, said that in 2010-2016, each year Dong Nai province created jobs for 90,000-100,000 laborers.

In 2017, laborers’ demand in enterprises is expected to increase compared to 2016. At present, many businesses working in textile and garment, leather footwear, mechanics and wooden products lack labourers and plan to recruit thousands of workers after the 2017 traditional lunar New Year.

“The target of creating jobs for over 85,000 laborers will be achieved in 2017,” Mr. Cong confirmed.

It would carry out surveys on labor supply and demand among 505,000 families and 6,000 businesses to support laborers seeking jobs and businesses recruiting laborers. In addition, the province will organize 18 job fairs.

In order to increase the quality of human resources, in 2017, Dong Nai will also increase vocational training for laborers as vocational training schools plan to train over 68,000 laborers, mainly in mechanics, machine manufacturing and welding technology.

From the beginning of this year to late November, the province created jobs for over 90,000 laborers./.
