Agencies work together on APEC preparations

It also asked for the completion of work assigned by the central level, thoroughly preparing etiquette, security and healthcare work as well as the promotion of information about APEC; and serving well inspections of work by the APEC 2017 National Committee, sub-committees, central agencies and advance delegations from APEC member economies.

Together with inspecting the progress of construction projects for APEC, the city People’s Committee was also urged to tackle investors’ obstacles, accelerate the building and upgrading of information - communications infrastructure, power and water supply; increase environmental sanitation and urban decoration; ensure absolute political security and social order as well as traffic safety; and enhance struggle against criminals during APEC Week.

The city Party Committee asked agencies to prepare and train professional human resources such as managers and assistants, contractors and volunteers in public places, as well as at guests’ accommodations.

The city Party Committee Commission for Popularization and Education will be responsible for increasing the dissemination of APEC information on the mass media; organize workshops on the sidelines of the event; call on investment; and produce films promoting the image of the city.

Meanwhile, Party organizations, authorities, the city Fatherland Front and political and social organizations will focus on disseminating APEC events, and raising their members’ responsibility in joining APEC Week activities./.
