Prime Minister congratulates outstanding teachers on Vietnamese Teacher’s Day

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on November 20th visited and congratulated several teachers and intellectuals who have made great contributions to the country’s education and training, on the occasion of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day.
The Prime Minister visited People's Teacher and Outstanding Artist Thai Thi Lien, one of the first female pianists in Vietnam and one of the first seven teachers to establish the Vietnam Music School (now the Vietnam National Academy of Music). She is the last living person of seven witnesses of the Academy’s history at present.

Expressing best wishes to Lien on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and also the 100th anniversary of her birth, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Mr. Phuc conveyed his sincere gratitude to the teacher and the female artists for training many famous Vietnamese artists, including her two kids - world renowned pianist Dang Thai Son and People's Artist Tran Thu Ha, Vietnam's leading pianist and professor, who is also a Labour Hero and former Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.
Also in the morning, the Prime Minister visited writer Vu Tu Nam and sculptor Ta Quang Bao, who were awarded the State Awards for Literature and Arts.

On this occasion, the Cabinet leader said that the Government is actively studying to promptly make policies to support teachers and artists, helping them have stable lives and continue contributing to the cause of education and training, and literature and arts of the country./.
