Ho Chi Minh city increases allowances for beneficiaries at Tet

The Ho Chi Minh city People’s Committee has issued a document increasing capital for caring for disadvantaged people and beneficiaries during the 2018 lunar New Year festival (Tet).

According to a report from the city Department of Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, the cash assistance for Nhan Ai Hospital will be increased from VND25 million to VND30 million; Tet gifts for Ben San leprosy treatment area from VND12 million to VND20 million; gifts for Thu Duc teenagers’ village from VND10 million to VND12 million; and gifts for disadvantaged Can Gio forest holders from VND800,000 to VND2 million.

Additionally, the city will give meal assistance during three days of Tet to cadres and soldiers in army units; presents to units with excellent emulation achievements; presents to children of those who work on Spratly islands and DK1 framework with VND2 million in cash and VND500,000 in gifts each.

The city Departments of Finance, Labor, War-Invalids and Social Affairs, in collaboration with relevant agencies, will be responsible for checking the capital for the allowances./.
