This is the 3rd successive year Vietnam is listed in the ITU rankings. Notably, the figure reports outstanding progress with an increase of 51 rankings compared to the 101st place in 2017.

During the Vietnam Security Summit 2019 held on April 17th, the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC) for the first time announced the cyber security level in State-owned agencies and organizations in 2018.

According to MIC, the ranking of cyber security in State-owned agencies will be assessed annually before businesses’ and other social organizations’ cyber security will be checked by MIC.

It is expected to help the agencies focus on protecting information and preventing it from being illegally accessed, used, discovered, destroyed, adjusted or noted. It will also be a foundation for international agencies’ and organizations’ references when they decide to invest in Vietnam./.
