The Government's Office has just announced the Conclusion of Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue at a working session with the leaders of Dak Lak province.
The economic growth in the first six months increased 6.86% over the same period, much higher than the national average. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction, gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fishery (from 39.9% in 2018 to 34.44% in the first nine months of 2019); gradually increasing the proportion of the service sector (from 42.2% in 2018 to 45.04% in the first nine months of 2019). State budget revenue in the area increased 14.28% over the same period in 2018, exceeding the plan and higher than the national average.
Dak Lak is the province with the leading number of cooperatives in the Central Highlands with high growth rates. 43 communes in the province meet new rural standards.
Compared to the period of 2003-2013, the average cooperative profit in 2018 increased by 183%; the number of cooperative groups increased sharply; the rate of mobilizing members was high, especially the number of cooperatives operating effectively, reaching over 70% (the national average was over 50%).
The national target program on new rural construction is methodical. 43 communes in the province meeting the new rural standard, reaching the rate of 28.3% (the plan in 2019 is 32.3%). The model of commune meeting new rural standards and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program have been piloted.
However, the province is still facing a number of difficulties and challenges. Violations of the law on forest protection still occur. The African swine cholera epidemic continues happening. Heavy rain and flood cause great damage, affecting production. There are limitations in the application of hi-technology in agriculture. The main local products are raw.
Deputy Prime Minister asked the province to focus on deploying and completing the provincial planning work in the 2021-2030 period and vision to 2045 in accordance with the Planning Law; and soon develop medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period; focus all solutions to strive to fulfill and exceed the socio-economic targets of the 2019 plan according to the tasks assigned in Government Resolution 01/NQ-CP on January 1st, 2019 on the main tasks and solutions to implement the socio-economic and State budget estimates in 2019 and Government Resolution 02/NQ-CP on January 1st, 2019 on continue to perform key tasks and solutions to improve the business environment and enhance national competitiveness.
