One of the effective measures includes isolation and inspection of suspected cases, according to Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son during his working meeting with the city on the prevention of the disease on February 9th

He stressed that as there are many people travelling over a wide area, Ho Chi Minh city should increase quick-response teams across districts, develop more isolation areas at district-level hospitals, follow the central level’s direction in the prevention, and depending on the city situation, take immediate actions.

According to Head of the city Department of Health Nguyen Tan Binh, as of February 9th, 3 infected cases had been detected, including 1 cured and discharged from hospital. Twenty seven suspected cases were tested negative for the virus while 28 are still in isolation for monitoring.

Diverse emergency measures have been carried out, including setting up of isolation areas in even district level hospitals, putting into operation a field hospital in Cu Chi district, and dissemination of 5 million flyers on the disease prevention, as the city is determined to not let the disease spread and to not suffer any fatalities caused by the disease./.
