Various activities at Vietnam - ASEAN Youth Festival

In his opening speech, HCYU Central Committee First Secretary Nguyen Anh Tuan said ASEAN youth cooperation activities in 2020 received thorough high quality content investment, especially some activities first held by the HCYU Central Committee and the National Committee for Vietnamese Youth.

Notable were the ASEAN Youth Ministers Meeting which adopted the joint declaration on "Strengthening youth cooperation for a cohesive and responsive ASEAN Community"; and the program "Young ASEAN diplomatic exchange", creating opportunities to connect young ASEAN diplomats in Vietnam, and promoting ASEAN youth cooperation in the coming period.

The Vietnam - ASEAN Youth Festival 2020 took place with many activities, including the camp festival simulating the image of 10 ASEAN countries with the theme "ASEAN cohesive and responsive"; folk games from ASEAN countries; and a meeting informing the results in Vietnam’s ASEAN 2020 Presidency.

The festival aimed at reviewing ASEAN youth cooperative activities in 2020, contributing to raising awareness of Vietnamese youth about ASEAN, Vietnam’s important achievements as ASEAN President; and reflecting Vietnam's commitment to the implementation of the ASEAN Youth Activities Plan for the period 2016-2020. This was also an opportunity for ASEAN youths and students to celebrate Vietnam's success as the ASEAN President 2020./.
