Addressing the launching ceremony, Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huong Giang said that in recent days, the COVID-19 pandemic with a new variant has spread very quickly, breaking out in a number of provinces and cities; in which, Bac Ninh recorded with a complicated outbreak, with an increasing number of infections. Therefore, with the spirit of "fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy", with drastic, synchronous and creative measures, Bac Ninh has proactively prevented, initially controlled, isolated, and stamped out the epidemic for protecting people's health, maintaining production development, and minimizing the consequences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Reality requires that the pandemic prevention and control work must be focused more drastically, by using synchronous solutions and joining hands from the whole political system, business community and the whole people,” she said. All is for the life and health of the people, with the fundamental solution being to vaccinate the entire population.”
Earlier, Chairwoman Nguyen Huong Giang sent a letter calling on agencies, organizations, businesses, collectives and individuals inside and outside the province, with affection and responsibility, to actively participate with the State in ensuring resources for vaccination for all workers and people in the province.
Since May 5, Bac Ninh Province has recorded more than 646 cases of COVID-19. So far, it has taken 421,753 samples to test for SARS-CoV-2 virus; in which, 412,778 samples have results, 8,875 samples are waiting for results.
Bac Ninh plans to vaccinate some 90,000 workers in the upcoming time./.
