Bach Dang Wharf and Me Linh Park renovation project in HCM City inaugruated

On March 17, a ceremony to inaugurate a project renovating the Bach Dang Wharf and Me Linh Park in District 1 took place in Ho Chi Minh (HCM) City.

After the renovation, the 1.6-hectare-wide Bach Dang Wharf now includes 8,700 square metres of walkways, a playground paved with volcano granite and 7,000 square metres of green spaces overlooking the Saigon River.

The wharf is now equipped with an automatic sprinkler system and a lighting system to enhance the landscape at night.

The adjacent Me Linh Park is also revamped, the highlight being the renovation of the statue of Tran Hung Dao, a celebrated 13th-century general who led Vietnam to victories over the Mongol invasions.

Many trees are plant and a new lighting system is installed at the park around the statue on 3,300 square metres./.
