Communist Party of Vietnam Portal debuts

(CPV) - The Communist Party of Vietnam Portal, at dangcongsan.org.vn, provides readers with the guidelines, policies and documents of the Party; is a communications portal between the Party and people, the center for integrating information from central Party agencies, centrally-governed Party Committees, socio-political organizations, ministries, branches and provinces and cities; and is the focal point for integrating and sharing information from publications of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper.

So said Dr. Tran Doan Tien, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, during the launch ceremony of the Portal, on March 29.

Dr. Tien, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Steering Committee and Head of the Editorial Board of the Communist Party of Vietnam Portal, added that the opening of the Portal aims to realize a decision by the Party Central Committee (PCC) Secretariat on promulgating a program on application of information technology in the operation of Party agencies in the period of 2021 – 2025. Accordingly, the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education assigned the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper to develop the Communist Party of Vietnam Portal.

The interface of the Portal includes three main content blocks: news, data and applications.

Currently, the Portal has completed the integration of data from portals, newspapers and magazines of 108 central Party agencies; social and political organizations; ministries and branches; and provincial and city Party Committees.

On the other hand, with the integration and sharing of information from publications of the Communist Party of Vietnam Online Newspaper, the Portal also ensures timely, accurate and complete provision of official information on policies and guidelines of the Party and State, and the country’s development achievements in all fields.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the PCC, and Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education, asked for continued development of the database so that the Portal can operate smoothly and safely, ensuring that it is an information-oriented communication channel, comprehensively and timely reflecting the Party's guidelines as well as the activities of agencies and units.

Emphasizing that this will be the bridge between the Party and people, he requested that the information posted on the Portal must be checked and edited strictly.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Party and State pressed the button to officially open the Communist Party of Vietnam Portal on the Internet./.
