Cuban Ambassador presented friendship insignia

Speaking at the event, VUFO President Phan Anh Son acknowledged the Ambassador's efforts in enhancing the long-standing friendship and solidarity between the two countries during his tenure in Vietnam from 2021 to present.

He said that the diplomat has co-ordinated efforts with agencies and organisations of Vietnam in consolidating and developing traditional friendship and special solidarity between the two countries across various aspects, especially boosting ties and raising mutual understanding between Vietnamese and Cuban people, thus contributing to deepening bilateral ties.

During his tenure in Vietnam, Ambassador Guillén has worked closely with the VUFO, the Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association, and various Vietnamese agencies to organize numerous cultural events and commemorative activities. His involvement in the VUFO’s annual programmes and activities have therefore been instrumental to their success.

Mr. Son expressed his confidence that Ambassador Guillén will continue to contribute to bilateral relations in any future role.

For his part, Ambassador Guillén expressed his gratitude to the invaluable support of the VUFO and other Vietnamese agencies during his tenure, reaffirming his dedication to reinforcing the diplomatic relationship in the coming time./.
