On December 12, the Da Nang City Federation of Labor announced its plans to organize activities to care for union members, workers, public servants and laborers during the 2025 Lunar New Year.

Under the theme "Tet Reunion – Spring of Gratitude to the Party," the activities will be implemented by the city and all grassroots-level unions in a practical and effective manner suitable to the local conditions.

At the city level, the 2025 Labor Tet Market is scheduled to take place on January 9, 2025. The City Federation of Labor will distribute 40,000 shopping vouchers (worth VND100,000 each) to union members and workers facing difficulties in the city.

The Federation will provide Tet gifts to 20,000 union members and laborers experiencing hardship due to workplace accidents, occupational diseases, critical illnesses, natural disasters, storms, unemployment or reduced working hours. Each person will receive VND1 million.

The Tet Journey program will continue, with plans to provide 2,000 train and bus tickets and arrange free buses to bring union members and workers home to celebrate Tet with their families.

Additionally, 1,000 workers who cannot return home for Tet will receive visits and gifts from the union. Meetings will be held to encourage 300 grassroots union leaders, while visits will be made to workers on duty during New Year’s Eve. Gifts will also be presented to 30 businesses that provide excellent care for their employees and to struggling grassroots unions.

Grassroots unions will organize their own Labor Tet Markets, depending on their resources and capabilities, focusing on offering essential, high-quality goods at preferential prices. They will also work to mobilize support from organizations and businesses to join the union's efforts in caring for workers during Tet.

Moreover, labor unions at all levels will proactively coordinate with relevant agencies to closely monitor, inspect and supervise wage and bonus payments for workers during Tet. They will swiftly identify and address any issues to safeguard the rights and interests of union members and workers at enterprises./.
