The overarching goal is to implement three key initiatives, including providing housing support for people who contributed to the revolutionary cause, supporting housing under national target programs, eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for residents, with priority on assisting those who contributed to the revolutionary cause using state budget resources.
In 2025, the province plans to construct and renovate 8,178 houses for policy households and revolutionary contributors (133 new constructions and 115 renovations), for poor households (4,417 new constructions and 937 renovations), for near-poor households (1,891 new constructions and 685 renovations).
The support level for housing assistance is set at VND60 million per household for new construction and VND30 million per household for renovations, except for households under social protection programs unable to contribute counterpart funds.
To achieve these goals, the Gia Lai Provincial People’s Committee has called for the mobilization of societal resources alongside state support. It emphasizes diversifying forms of assistance to work collectively toward eliminating temporary and dilapidated housing, ensuring transparency, compliance with regulations, and proper targeting. Efforts will be made to prevent loss, waste, corruption or fraud./.
