On September 11, Nguyen Lan Huong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Hanoi, presided over a ceremony to receive donations for people in provinces and cities affected by storms and floods.

At the ceremony, the Hanoi VFF received nearly VND13 billion in donations from various agencies, organizations, and businesses. Among the contributors were the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports, which donated VND150 million, the Hanoi Tax Department with VND100 million, the Hanoi Federation of Labor with VND100 million, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi with VND100 million, officials and residents of Gia Lam district with VND500 million, Thanh Xuan district with VND500 million, Ba Dinh district with VND300 million, and Thuong Tin district with VND200 million.
She acknowledged and highly appreciated the contributions and responsible support from the units, organizations, businesses and benefactors who responded to the call of the Hanoi VFF to support people in provinces and cities severely affected by storms and floods. She emphasized that these noble actions further highlight the beautiful tradition of solidarity and mutual assistance in Vietnamese society.
She also mentioned that within just one day of issuing the "Call for Support," the Hanoi VFF had already received VND12 billion in donations for storm-affected areas. So far, the Hanoi VFF has contributed VND61 billion to help people in provinces and cities impacted by floods. Additionally, district-level VFF committees in Hanoi have provided VND15.6 billion in aid to local residents affected by the storms, helped evacuate people to safe locations, and organized solidarity meals for displaced families.
Expressing her sincere thanks to the agencies, organizations, businesses, individuals and philanthropists who entrusted their donations to the Hanoi VFF, Chairwoman Nguyen Lan Huong expressed hope for continued support from collectives, organizations, individuals and benefactors in the future, so that more people can receive help during these difficult times./.
