Hanoi launches 1st Technical Innovation Contest

Speaking at the launching ceremony of the contest, member of the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee, and Head of the Organizing Board of the contest Le Hong Son said that Program No. 07-CTr/TU of the Hanoi Party Committee has set the goal of developing science, technology and creative innovation to become the main driving force for socio-economic development of the capital, building Hanoi into a leading center of creative innovation and scientific research, technology transfer and development of the country, and then of Southeast Asia in a number of fields.

The contest aims to promote the creative labor movement of all levels, branches, organizations and individuals in the fields of science and technology, effectively apply topics and technical solutions to production and life, contributing to socio-economic development, realizing industrialization and modernization of the city; honoring collectives and individuals, and responding to the National Technical Innovation Contest.

All Vietnamese individuals in the country and abroad, and foreigners working and living in Vietnam, who have topics or solutions and applications that contribute to the construction and development of Hanoi city from 2015, can join in the contest.

Technical topics and solutions for the contest are divided into six fields: information technology, electronics, telecommunications, innovative solutions in management and administration of agencies and units; automation mechanics, transportation, construction; materials, chemicals, energy; agriculture, forestry, fishery, natural resources and environment; pharmacy; and education and training. The technical topics and solutions for the contest are evaluated according to three criteria: novelty and creativity; wide applicability; and specific socio-economic effects.

The deadline for receiving applications is June 30, 2023.

The organizing board will award six first prizes, 12 second prizes, 18 third prizes and 24 consolation prizes./.
