CPV) - The capital saw many contestants winning high prizes at the Robotacon WRO (World Robot Olympiad) 2024 in the northern region which has been organized in Hai Phong City.
This year’s competition, themed “Earth Allies”, attracted the participation of 200 teams and 600 contestants in the northern region.

According to the organizers, the competition’s jury presented challenges suitable to each age group for students to solve with creative solutions in technology and automated robots such as “Sustainable Agriculture - Green Farm”; “Building a green city”; and “Protecting the Earth”.
These topics brought real challenges in robot assembly skills, logical thinking and social understanding for the young robot contestants.
At the competition, Giang Vo Secondary School in Ba Dinh district has six teams competing in group B1 with the tasks on the topic “Sustainable Agriculture” and two teams competing in group B2 with the topic “Building a green city”. With intelligence, creativity, passion for technology and determination, the teams of Giang Vo Secondary School have achieved four Gold Certificates (three Gold Certificates in group B1 and one Gold Certificate in group B2) and 3 Silver Certificates in group B1. Notably, Giang Vo Secondary School has one team in group B2 winning the only third prize of the entire group.
With excellent performance, seven out of eight teams of Giang Vo Secondary School were selected by the jury to participate in the National Final Round on August 23-24, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City, from which the 16 best teams representing Vietnam will be selected to participate in the World Robot Olympiad 2024 scheduled in Turkey.
Ms. To Thi Hai Yen, Principal of Giang Vo Secondary School said that this is the second time the school has participated in Robotacon WRO 2024 and has achieved high results.
The competition not only helps students get acquainted with robotics skills, but also brings pride to the school. In addition, the competition also arouses in students the desire to win, helping them develop the mindset of applying technology to help solve problems such as natural resource depletion, environmental pollution and climate change./.
