India cooperates with Vietnam to test and produce Nanocovax vaccine

Mr. Yogendra Vekaria, Managing Director of Vekaria Healthcare LLP Company of India, and Mr. Ho Nhan, General Director of Nanogen Company of Vietnam, have just signed a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for technology transfer, production and distribution of Nanocovax vaccine, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in India on August 10.

The signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Embassy in India.

The signing ceremony was held in both direct and online forms under the witness of Vietnamese Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau, staff of the embassy and a number of Parliament members, leaders of the health sector and presidents of large companies and corporations in the field of medicine, vaccines and pharmaceuticals of India.

The signing of the NDA is the basis for the two parties to move to a deeper discussion on specific cooperation contents related to the expanded phase 3 testing of production and distribution of Nanocovax vaccine on a large scale when it is licensed for emergency use.

Previously, the delegation of the Vietnamese Embassy in India and the Vietnam Trade Office in India worked with major Indian pharmaceutical companies such as: Dr.Reddy, Bharat Biotech, Biological E, Laxai, Hetero and Granules India to discuss the purchase of vaccines, pharmaceuticals, medical equipment to treat COVID-19 patients. Indian businesses have committed to supply 1 million doses of Remdesivir; each of these shipments is being shipped to Vietnam.

The Embassy is also promoting the establishment of a "Pharmaceutical Park" with an area of about 500ha with an initial investment of about 500 million USD, with the desire of creating jobs for 50,000 direct workers and 200,000 indirect employees, and export revenue of about 5 billion USD./.
