Japan Job Fair offers 2,500 jobs for Vietnamese students

Over 2,500 employees and interns have been recruited by nearly 30 leading Japanese corporations and firms at the Japan Job Fair 2023.

The fair was held in both in-person and online formats by the Vietnam-Japan Institute of Technology (VJIT) and the Business Cooperation Centre under the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), in collaboration with Japan’s Pasona group and the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City on November 4.

At the fair, Japanese employees, such as Aeon, Yakult, Organo, Ishida, Sanyo Road Industry, Noippon Parking Development, Knowledge Creation Technology and Hitachi Vantara recruited labour in various fields, including construction and engineering, control and automation engineering, mechanical engineering, electromechanical engineering, electrical engineering, information technology and communications, economy, manufacturing, and construction to work in Japan or in Japanese affiliates in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event from Japan, Mr. Tokiwa Mitsuo, Deputy Director of the Office of Trade and Economic Cooperation under Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, emphasized that the Japan Job Fair 2023 takes place in the context of Japan and Vietnam celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relation establishment; many Japanese companies have been operating actively in Vietnam and hope to have more business opportunities between the two countries.

According to Mr. Tokiwa Mitsuo, Japanese companies and Japanese affiliates in Vietnam operating in many different fields participate in this event to find specialized and highly skilled personnel. Japanese companies not only provide job opportunities for new graduates and experienced employers, but also participate in training, giving advice, and creating very good opportunities to improve their skills and profession.

HUTECH Vice Rector Nguyen Thanh Phuong affirmed that the event enables the Japanese firms to introduce their products, showcase technology, and recruit students from various fields.

He stressed that it also provides a good opportunity for students to get hands-on experience with new technologies, engage with potential employers, and gain insights into the job market in Japan./.
