Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that in the past 2 years, trade unions at all levels have organized more than 26,000 campaigns on dissemination of studying and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality and style, with the participation of more than 3 million trade union members, workers, officials and employees.
Specifically, there were 7,256 collectives and 812,800 individuals registered to perform 966,500 jobs according to Uncle Ho. The patriotic emulation movements launched by the Trade Union drew active response from trade union members, workers, officials and laborers. Typically, the program on 1 million initiatives to overcome difficulties and defeat the COVID-19 pandemic, launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, finished nearly a year early, bringing the profit value of about VND16,000 billion.
Those efforts and achievements show that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style has deeply penetrated and become a regular job of trade union members, civil servants, public employees, laborers and trade unions at all levels.
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang, during the time when the whole country joined hands to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic, thousands of trade union officials across the country did not mind the difficulties and dangers but rushed into the center of the pandemic to take care of and support trade union members, employees and businesses. The trade unions spent more than VND6 trillion supporting their members and workers in difficulty.
At the beginning of 2023, when workers lost jobs or had reduced workloads due to businesses cutting orders, the General Confederation of Labour soon implemented many practical, timely solutions and support policies.
During the conference, Secretary of the Party Central Committee (PCC) and Head of the PCC Commission on Popularization and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia praised the excellent achievements of 58 collectives and 75 individuals, and affirmed that these are the most beautiful flowers in the flower forest of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and style.
He suggested trade unions promote and create stronger changes in studying and following Uncle Ho’s example, making it a great motivation and strength to build the modern and strong working class as well as strong trade unions./.
