Over 5.5 million agricultural households supported in joining e-commerce platforms

With robust support from an extensive postal network and advanced technology, Vietnam Post has created a comprehensive e-commerce ecosystem. This system includes online payment, order management and real-time tracking, making transactions more convenient and secure. It enables agricultural businesses to efficiently manage and promote their products, and access markets quickly and effectively.

So far, Vietnam Post has provided training and onboarding support for 5,500,208 agricultural household accounts on its e-commerce platform, showcasing 149,502 products. Among these, over 8,200 are OCOP (One Commune One Product) items, accounting for more than 79% of the national OCOP portfolio.

In October 2024 alone, the platform recorded 15,250 transactions with a total value of nearly VND4.5 billion. Thousands of tons of agricultural products, including fruits like Luc Ngan lychee (Bac Giang), Phuc Trach pomelo (Ha Tinh), Chi Lang custard apple (Lang Son), Hung Yen longan, Dong Thap longan, avocado, durian (Dak Lak), Cao Phong orange (Hoa Binh), and vegetables such as purple sweet potatoes (Vinh Long), Ly Son garlic and An Giang lemons, were sold through the Postmart.vn e-commerce platform and Vietnam Post’s service points.

It also targets export opportunities to potential markets such as China, South Korea and Japan.

These measures ensure food safety, protect consumer health and enhance the platform’s reputation. The process complies with food safety laws and national quality standards.
