The US Embassy in Hanoi announces the recuitment of excellent Vietnamese candidates for the Fulbright Vietnamese Teaching Assistant Program in the United States (FLTA) for the 2024-2025 academic year.

FLTA is a 9-month, fully-funded, non-degree program, and is open to young English teachers and those with related professions such as American studies, American literature and culture, with no more than 7 years of teaching experience.
The program provides an opportunity for participants to improve their teaching skills, English proficiency, and expand their knowledge of American society and culture.
Along with joining teaching assistants, they will strengthen the way of teaching Vietnamese language for students at US universities and colleges.
Participants have the opportunity to hone their teaching skills, improving their English and expand their knowledge of US society and culture, as well as interact with their unit in the form of chat groups, extracurricular activities and outreach projects.
FLTA participants will work as tutors in language classes for up to 20 hours a week and are required to enroll in at least two subjects each semester, including one related to American studies.
The remaining subjects can be auditions or credits. FLTA will also be expected to coordinate and organize live or online cultural events, language clubs and corners.
The Fulbright Program in Vietnam selects and nominates up to five full-time candidates and two reserve candidates from Vietnam.
