Party Central Committee military members gather ahead 8th PCC meeting term XII

A meeting was held on October 1st by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence to gather Party Central Committee (PCC) members who work in the military sector ahead of the 8th PCC meeting term XII.

During the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Cuong, Secretary of the PCC, standing member of the Central Military Commission and Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, informed the members of some domestic situations, the military and defence work in the first 9 months of this year, and the key contents of the 8th PCC meeting term XII.

General Ngo Xuan Lich, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission and Minister of National Defence, praised the efforts of the military forces at work over the past months. “Some work has been successfully realized, contributing to increasing military prestige and deserving the trust of the Party, State and people,” he said.

“The whole army has complete trust in the Party leadership, the State management, and the Central Military Commission’s solidarity and consensus,” he added.

He confirmed that the 8th PCC meeting is an important event of the Party and country, and arouses a lot of concern from cadres, Party members and classes of people. “The PCC will discuss, adopt and decide important issues relating to the building of the Party, cadres and the political system,” he went on to say.

He urged PCC military members to raise high their sense of responsibility to contribute to the meeting./.
