Decree by President Ho Chi Minh presented to Cinema Department

On March 15th, the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam presented Decree 147/SL of President Ho Chi Minh on the establishment of Vietnam Photograph and Cinema National Enterprise to the Department of Cinema.

On March 15th, 1953, President Ho Chi Minh signed the decree at the Palm Hill in Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district, the northern mountainous province of Thai Nguyen.
According to Dang Thanh Tung, head of the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam, the agency preserves many documents related to the history of the Department of Cinema’s establishment and development, especially original documents, photos and films showing President Ho Chi Minh’s care for the cinema.
Head of the Department of Cinema Ngo Phuong Lan expressed her happiness upon receiving the decree on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the cinema.
Ms. Lan also presented the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam a documentary film on 65 years of the Vietnam cinema sector./.
