Cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese locality promoted

He made the statement during his reception for Mr. Miyashita Masaaki, President of Miyashita Seisakusho Company, and a delegation from the Japanese Nagano prefecture Association of Industry and Trade, on November 20^th.

Appreciating Japanese businesses’ role in promoting the Vietnam - Japan relationship in general and the good cooperation between Da Nang and many Japanese localities in particular, Mr. Minh said he hoped that Mr. Miyashita Masaaki and the Nagano prefecture Association of Industry and Trade will actively study the investment opportunities in Da Nang, thus increasing cooperation among the two localities in diverse areas.

Mr. Miyashita Masaaki said that there are currently over 2,000 Vietnamese people living and working in Nagano prefecture, and hoped more and more Vietnamese laborers will come to the Japanese prefecture, as Da Nang has plentiful and much improved human resources while Japan is facing an ageing population and a serious lack of human resources.

He also revealed his desire to seek investment, production and long-term cooperation with Da Nang.

As of this August, Japan is the leading country in the number of investment projects and ranking 2^nd in investment capital in Da Nang city, at over USD650 million./.
