(CPV) - The final round of 2017 Quiz on Korea in Vietnam takes place on June 15th in Hanoi, as part of activities to welcome the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.

The event is co-hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, Association of Sciences Research on Korea of Vietnam, and University of Languages and International Studies under the Vietnam National University-VNU Hanoi, and is sponsored by the Korean People's Association in Hanoi, Korea Tourism Organization and Jeju Airlines.
Eleven students from universities teaching Korean language in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Da Nang, and Hue who win from the domestic qualifying round will compete for a slot at the final round in KBS hall (Seoul) this September 15th, 2017 with another 24 rivals from around the world.
Last year’s winner was Nguyen Hoang Phuc Hoa, a second-year student from the Faculty of Korean Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities under the Vietnam National University-VNU HCMC, had reached the third round of the final event in Korea.
In the context of current strong development of the people to people relations between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, the number of Vietnamese students studying Korean has sharply increased, and the quiz is expected to win more participation from local students in Korean language/studies, thus actively contributing to the development of the Korean Studies in Vietnam
Quiz on Korea is a television game show organized as part of an annual international public diplomacy program by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea and KBS television. The quiz tests participants on general knowledge of Korea, thus helping to spread Hallyu, the "Korean wave"./.
