Book fair 2017 in Phu Tho province

On April 3rd, the book fair 2017 opened in Viet Tri city, the northern province of Phu Tho, among events marking the death anniversary of the Hung Kings and the Hung Kings Temple Festival 2017.

The event drew the participation of 17 publishing houses, book distribution companies and companies in the field of culture and communications. More than 20,000 books in different fields such as politics, literature, socio-culture, economics, science and technology were introduced.

Addressing the opening ceremony, vice chairman of Phu Tho provincial People’s Committee Ha Ke San said that the event was an activity to respond Vietnam Book Day; and to promote reading culture in the community and communication on Vietnam Book Day.

The vice chairman said that in the near future, the province would continue the promotion on communication, encourage people to improve their awareness in reading culture; launch book reading movements in libraries in general and at schools in particular; exhibit interesting books; advise on how to choose suitable books; and promote the movement of collecting books for children in remote and mountainous areas./.
