Canon friendship school chain landed at Lai Chau province

The core purpose of “Canon friendship school chain” is to improve studying environment for the pupils - the future master of the country then to make step to nurture human resources for developing nation.

During many years implementing the project, Canon has been bringing many new and spacious classrooms for unprivileged pupils in Northern and Middle provinces of Vietnam.

This branch lies on one of the poorest communes of Tam Duong district where pupils have to cross hilly and rocky roads to reach their school. Classrooms were assembled from pieces of wood, covered by flimsy canvas hoping to shield block from the sun, wind and rain. School amenities and facilities were not only deficient, but also severely run down by inclement weather.

Understanding its situation, the Japanese Company and Vemba5 Charity Fund built new classroom and one auxiliary work to ensure hygiene for the kindergarten’s branch.

Mr. Niimura - Deputy General Director of Canon Vietnam Co., Ltd shared: “Pupils are the future of each nation. Education development plays an important role. Canon Vietnam understands this issue, and wishes to bring the best things for pupils in particular and Vietnamese society in general”.

Besides, local students received 40 gift sets and some warm blankets for winter.

Especially, it was the very first time that the children in this area had been introduced to Japanese Ehon comics. Ehon comic is known as books which perform stories illustrated by pictures; for children between 0 and 10 years old./.
