Hanoi public security realizes Uncle Ho’s teachings

On August 7th, the Hanoi Public Security Department of Road and Railway Traffic (PC67) launched a emulation campaign to gain achievements, obeying Uncle Ho's teachings.

The emulation campaign also aimed to celebrate the 70th year since President Ho Chi Minh issued 6 teachings for the people’s public security (March 11th, 1948 – March 11th, 2018) and the 70th year since President Ho Chi Minh issued the appeal on patriotism emulation (June 11th, 1948 – June 11th, 2018).

Under the emulation, the road – railway traffic public security aims to promote the tradition, increase spirit and humanity, and gain achievements to report to Uncle Ho, for a peaceful capital city.

According to Colonel Dao Vinh Thang, Head of PC67, the emulation campaign targets to reduce the number of traffic accidents by 6%, the number of fatalities by 3% and the number of injured people by 8%; reduce the number of locations reporting traffic congestion for 30 minutes or more; prevent illegal racing and cheering of illegal racing; ensure complete traffic for activities of the Party and State leaders, as well as international guests; and reduce the number of cases against public mission enforcement.

Each month, each unit has to detect at least one criminal case, maintain the honour of certificates of merit, and 95% of units will strive to obtain the exemplary certificate of people’s public security charter.

On March 11th, 1948, in a letter to the public security, Uncle Ho noted that public security must achieve 6 criteria, including practising hard work, thrift and honesty to themselves; love and assistance to colleagues; complete loyalty to the Government; respect to the people; wholeheartedness to work; and resolution and intelligence to enemies./.
