Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology kicked off

The Ministry of Science and Technology on November 21st kicked off the Vietnam - Korea Institute of Science and Technology (V-KIST).

This is the largest non-refundable project for Vietnam by the Government of the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Located at the Hoa Lac Hi-Tech Park based on the success of the KIST model in RoK, the Institute will promote science and technology cooperation between the two countries and the development requirements from Vietnam. Once operational it will build an open network to mobilize cooperation among researchers from institutes and universities.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam spoke highly of the determination of the Vietnamese Government to further bring science and technologies to life, asking staffs to overcome current difficulties to further develop the bilateral relations.

On this occasion, V-KIST signed cooperation agreements and documents with RoK and Vietnamese organizations and companies.
