Vietnam wins two golds at 2018 International Physics Olympiad

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, all five Vietnamese students have won medals, including two golds, at the 49th International Physics Olympiad (IPhO 2018).

The gold medals went to Nguyen Ngoc Long from Lam Son High School for the Gifted in Thanh Hoa province and Tran Duc Huy from Hanoi-Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

Nguyen Xuan Tan from the High School for the Gifted under University of Science, VNU-Hanoi and Trinh Duy Hieu from Bac Giang High School for the Gifted won silver medals.

Nguyen Van Thanh Loi from Quang Trung High School for the Gifted in Binh Phuoc province brought home bronze medal.

IPhO 2018was held in Portugal from July 21st to 29th with the participation of 86 countries and territories.

The Ministry of Education and Training welcomed and congratulated the delegation at Noi Bai airport on July 30th./.
