Award ceremony of online contest on Party’s glorious 90-year history

(CPV) - A ceremony was organized in Hanoi on October 11th to present awards to winners of the online contest on the glorious 90-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) over the past six weeks in the northern region.

According to the organizing board, the contest has drawn enthusiastic response from a large number of officials, Party members and people. It has attracted 534,836 contestants from all corners of the country and millions of people learned about the history of CPV on the CPV Online Newspaper and VCNET network.

Ha Tinh, Ho Chi Minh city, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Hanoi, Gia Lai, Bac Giang, Ben Tre, Binh Duong and Hai Phong witness the largest number of contestants.

The contest aims to popularize the revolutionary tradition and educate the whole Party, people and army about glorious 90-year history of the CPV. This is also a practical activity to mark the 90th anniversary of the establishment of CPV (February 3rd, 1930 - February 3rd, 2020)

Participating in the contest, Ms. Hoang Thi Ngoc Anh, a student from the Faculty of Broadcasting and Television of the Academy of Journalism and Communications, said that the questions are very meaningful, focusing on the Party’s glorious history. Learning about the establishment and development of CPV is a valuable opportunity for students to recognize the Party's achievements, development process and leadership in the cause of industrialization and modernization of the nation.

“The contest not only helps us to raise awareness about the field we are studying but it is also an opportunity for young people to look at themselves to strive to continue the good tradition of the previous generations, worthy of being a key force in the cause of building and defending the country,” shared Ta Thi Hien, a student from the Faculty of Party History of the Academy of Journalism and Communications.

Launching between August 26th and December 30th, 2019, every week, the organizing board presents one first prize, worth 5,000,000 VND; two second prizes, each worth 3,000,000 VND, three third prizes, each worth 2,000,000 VND and five consolation prizes, each worth 1,000,000 VND.  

The contests' weekly results are announced on the network VCNET (http://vcnet.vn); CPV Online Newspaper (http://dangcongsan.vn); and Tuyen Giao magazine (http://tuyengiao.vn) and mass media as well./.
