Dien Bien province on February 19th arrested two people in Muong Loi commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province, for illegally transporting heroin.
The two people are Vang A Chua, born in 1994 and Thao So Po, born in 1988, both residing in Bung Boi village, Phun Thoong district, Luang Prabang, Laos.
The police seized 10 cakes of heroin, weighing about 3.5kg, two knives and many other related objects.
When being pursued, the two people used the knives to attack the police but they failed.
Initially, they confessed that they bought the heroin in Laos and transported it to Dien Bien province to sell.
The case is under further investigation./.
