Ethnic minority national congress to be held

The congress continues to confirm and recognize the great contributions of ethnic minority people in poverty reduction, the building of new style rural areas, the development of infrastructure, the national protection and international integration. It also aims to honour outstanding ethnic minority collectives and individuals in the 2009-2019 period.

Under the congresses, the implementation of ethnic minority policies, infrastructure development, poverty reduction and the building of new style rural areas will be reviewed, to draw experience for completing the policies in the 2021-2025 period.

Outstanding people will represent 53 ethnic minority groups from across the country to attend the congresses, which will be held in one day at the district level; 1.5 – 2 days at the provincial level and 3 days at the national level./.
