Ho Chi Minh city grants title of Vietnamese heroic mother to 30 individuals

The Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front on October 18th held a ceremony to present the title of Vietnamese heroic mother to 30 individuals, including 27 who had passed away.

On behalf of the city leaders, Standing Deputy Secretary of the city Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang expressed his deep gratitude to Vietnamese heroic mothers and their relatives.
So far, over 5,200 individuals in the city have been presented with the title of Vietnamese heroic mothers, including 267 living ones.
According to Mr. Cang, the title is the country’s recognition of the great credit and sacrifice of the mothers who devoted their closest relatives to the national independence and freedom.
He confirmed that the mothers’ great sacrifice had made contribution to the glorious history of the nation. “It is noble sacrifice and donation and the invaluable spiritual asset which will be immortal with the country,” he said, adding that the mothers’ lives and sacrifice would be examples for the younger generations to follow.
Sharing that the Vietnamese Party and State always care for Vietnamese heroic mothers, beneficiaries and revolutionary contributors’ families, he went on to say that over the past years, Ho Chi Minh city had improved care for Vietnamese heroic mothers, contributing to helping them live happy and healthy lives./.
