According to Mr. Tien, the assistance is carried out through 17 programs on supporting heart, eye, mouth and lip surgeries. Additionally, the money has also been used to give scholarships, safe water, schools and boarding houses for disadvantaged and mountainous area pupils; and provide rescue to those in natural disaster and epidemic-affected regions.

Free milk provision, eye care, dissemination of autism children information, and support for pupils at risk of dropping out of school are among four outstanding programs using the assistance capital.

In the upcoming lunar New Year festival, the NFVC in collaboration with Vietnam Television will organize the 12th art performance “Spring for Children” which is expected to collect donation from communities for giving Tet presents to disadvantaged children.

Throughout 11 times, the program collected over VND1 trillion and gave support to some 900,000 disadvantaged children./.
