Over 4,000 people joined a walk held on November 18th to raise funds for the poor in Ho Chi Minh city’s Phu Nhuan district.

Accordingly, over VND6.8 billion was collected from businesses, unions, religious foundations, officers and armed forces from 15 wards in the district.
Over the past 16 years, the annual event has raised over VND76 to build or repair houses for the poor, present scholarships to poor pupils, and medical insurance cards to those who live near the poverty line.
In particular, the collected money has been used to care for the poor’s lunar New Year festival, thus helping boost sustainable poverty reduction./.
