Addressing the launch ceremony, Nguyen Thi Thu Van, Standing Deputy Chairwoman of the Vietnam Youth Federation, said that the voluntary movement among the young would be the largest of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union for the next 5 years. “Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Youth Federation will promote the strength of the youth and voluntary spirit to boost socio-economic development,” she added.

According to Bui Ngoc Quang, FPT Group’s General Director, since 2010, March 13th has become a day for each FPT staff member to act for communities, using practical deeds, thus spreading the humanitarian spirit to the others.

It, at the event, signed a cooperation deal with the Vietnam Volunteer Centre (VVC) to carry out a wide range of voluntary activities, including repairing hundreds of houses, building playgrounds for children in remote areas, and supporting education.

It was estimated that over 5,000 people joined the walk on March 11th, contributing VND100,000 each to social welfare.

The Good Deeds Day, launched by the VVC last year, aims to promote and inpire the doing of good deeds among communities./.
