On August 7th, the Ministry of Public Security launched an emulation campaign to celebrate the 70th year since the day President Ho Chi Minh issued 6 teachings for the people’s public security (March 11th, 1948 – March 11th, 2018) and the 70th year since President Ho Chi Minh issued the appeal on patriotism emulation (June 11th, 1948 – June 11th, 2018).

Accordingly, the emulation will be connected with specific tasks, including completing the 2017 working programs; and striving to make excellent achievements to celebrate the day Uncle Ho gave 6 teachings to the public security forces and issued the appeal on patriotism emulation.

Addressing the launch ceremony, Senior Lieutenant-General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, asked the contents of emulation to focus on analysing, assessing and forecasting the situation, promptly giving consultancy to the Central Public Security Party Committee and Public Security Ministry’s leaders for solutions ensuring security and the prevention of crime.

In addition, the solutions need to effectively address issues relating to national security and social order, contributing to stabilizing political stability, especially in strategic locations; and ensuring complete security for important events, especially APEC 2017.

On March 11th, 1948, in a letter to the public security, Uncle Ho noted that public security must achieve 6 criteria, including practising hard work, thrift and honesty to themselves; love and assistance to colleagues; complete loyalty to the Government; respect to the people; wholeheartedness to work; and resolution and intelligence to enemies./.
