Quang Ngai signs cooperation deal with Korean hospital

The Chung-Ang University Hospital in Seoul on September 27th signed a deal on cooperating with the Quang Ngai provincial General Hospital to support increasing the quality of its medical staff.
In addition, the Chung-Ang University Hospital will also give support for caring for communities; and provide free surgeries for children who contract congenital heart diseases, cleft lip and cleft palate and other congenital malformations.
Chung-Ang University Hospital General Director Seong Deok Kim said that since 2009, the program giving medical support for Quang Ngai province has helped provide free medical check-ups and medicine for 15,000 local poor residents; present medical equipment for hospitals; and grant cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries for 100 children.
Secretary of the Quang Ngai provincial Party Committee Le Viet Chu suggested the hospital continue to provide training in hospital management, obstetrics and paediatrics surgeries as well as other specialised areas./.
