According to Anony Nezic, Co-Chairman of the Terry Fox Run Vietnam, the run has been continuously organized in Vietnam over the past 22 years, raising USD1 million. “The money was kept in Vietnam serving child cancer research projects in cooperation with the Canada - Vietnam Business Association, Terry Fox Vietnam, Canada-based University of British Columbia and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh city,” he said, adding that the organizing committee welcomes companies, schools, communities, families and individuals to join the run to raise money for cancer patients.

Last year, the run attracted over 20,000 participants, marking the second successive year the run drew a record number of participants among international Terry Fox runs. Some VND2 billion was collected, and all the money was used in intensive research projects on child cancer in hospitals in Ho Chi Minh city.

Each year, the event adopts a new logo as seen on the shirts. This year, the Terry Fox Run Vietnam shirt includes the image of Vietnam for the first time. This is the first Terry Fox Run official shirts in the world carrying the image of a nation outside of Canada./.
