Village head devoted to people

Following Uncle Ho’s teachings, over the past 19 years as head of the village, Nguyen Thanh Suong in Nguyen Hoa village, Hanh Tin Dong commune, Nghia Hanh district in the central province of Quang Ngai, has maintained a high sense of responsibility to devote himself to the people.

He devoted himself by volunteering in donating land and donating money to build rural roads, encouraging people to develop prosperous and happy lives.Though he has passed the age of 60, he is still active in caring for the village’s work.
According to Mr. Suong, after being discharged from the army, promoting the quality of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, he has been enthusiastically joining the village’s movements. He was Deputy Secretary of the village Party Committee and has been selected as the village head since 1998. At any position, he does not care about difficulties to realize his missions.
There are 157 families in Nguyen Hoa village. A majority of them live on agricultural production. Earlier, the village roads were very small. Mr. Suong volunteered to donate his family’s land to expand the village roads. His deed replaces the most persuasive encouragement. He reached households to mobilize money and working days to expand the roads and received active response from local residents. As a result, 2 roads have been concreted with a length of 600 metres, using over VND100 million.
He also encouraged people to donate money to build a cultural house to make better condition for meetings among people./.
