Yen Bai province saves over 27 million kWh

Over the past two years, Yen Bai province has saved over 27 million kWh in power use (equivalent to over VND32 billion) thanks to the implementation of program on economical use of power launched by the Northern Power Corporation (NPC).

The program carried out in Nghia Lo town over the past three months alone attracted nearly 5,300 families, saving 300,000 kWh, or nearly VND500 million.
By raising the awareness and habit in saving power in each family, it has helped reduce domestic expenses and conserve the nation’s energy source.
The national grid has reached all 157 communes of the province, with over 98% of families having access to power.
Each year, Yen Bai province reports an average power use growth of 13.6%./.
